Blonde Haired, Blue Eyed Four Year Old Found In Gypsy Camp.

Authorities Trying To Identify 4-Year-Old Girl Found In Gypsy Camp

In a recent raid taken out by the Greek Police on a gypsy camp in Athens Greece, the police searched for weapons and drugs. Apart from what they expected, such as the drugs and weapons, a police officer noticed a girl that did not belong in the environment. She was four years old, had blue eyes and blonde hair, and white skin. She went by the name Maria, and looked nothing like the alleged "parents". A DNA test was done, and the results came back showing that she is not their daughter. The child was found in a camp near Farsala Greece, and lived with the gypsies in the camp. Her "parents", which were a thirty nine year old man, and a forty year old woman, were arrested and charged with abducting a minor. The parents lawyer had said they had taken her out of charity, but this is possibly not true considering that the parents had given more than one story about how they met the child, examples being that she had a foreign father, was abandoned, or left on the street in a blanket. Her features are that of a eastern European. If this one of the places where abandoned children end up, then is it possible that many of our missing and or abducted children can end up across the globe?

  1. It is relieving hearing that the poor young girl can now be in a secure family considering her rescue from the gypsies was heard worldwide. Hopefully with various DNA tests her paternal parents will be matched and she will be living a normal life with a future ahead of her. Job well done, Kevin.

  2. Wow! It is very hard for a young child to live without knowing their birth parents. The urge to discover one's birth parents becomes worse by age. The young child mentioned in Kevin's blog, is still young and clueless. She is one of the many missing children who have finally been found by someone. Her life has been nothing but a lie! Great topic, Kevin!

  3. The entire aspect of abduction truly frightens me. The thought of never being able to see ones loved ones again gives me chills. I am glad to hear that this little girl has been found and will be returned to a safe and healthy environment. If only the other millions of people abducted and missing, were to magically show up and be reunited with their families. Excellent blog post Kevin! AP BIO material!

  4. As releiving as discovering this child is, it is sad that a four year old has to endure the scarring ans trauma of having to grow up not only away from her birth parents but within a gypsy camp. Why allow for government to have enough power with law enforcement if occurences are still possible. The world needs to get its act together, because there are more than just this four year old.

  5. It is always extremely tragic and hurtful to hear news similar to the nature of this crime. How can one possibly steal another’s child? I cannot possibly imagine what the biological parents of this four year old girl went through. Child abduction cases are not rare occurrences, therefore they must be stopped.

  6. Abduction is one form of crime that I will always view as the most devastating and heartbreaking kind of all. For one to have the nerve to willingly to take away parents' children away from them and inflict the heartache, worry, misery, and anger that come along with the loss of their child truly instills the greatest sadness in me as well. It is a relief to hear that this little girl is now saved and can return to her family in peace.

  7. Living a life under a lie is probably the worst feeling. This child is still to young to understand what is going on around her. The experience that her parents had when they lost her is experience and pain that no one would want to go through. Kidnapping is way to common nowadays which means many people are experiencing situations similar to this. Hopefully this child will find herself a new home in hands who will actually care and love her.
