Scarlet Letter

“Ah, but,” interposed, more softly, a young wife, holding a child by the hand, “let her cover the mark as she will, the pang of it will be always in her heart. “ (Hawthorne 36)

As Hester Prynne is shown to the public as some form of monster and evil sinner, many people are gossiping, cursing and shaming Hester Prynne. As part of her punishment, she was to endure public embarrassment, and many people are savagely speaking against her. What shines from the rest is a group of women. Many of them are saying that since Hester has committed a sin against their religion, it means that she has also broken the law. Due to this these women believe that she must be killed, in order to show others not to follow her acts. One women believes some thing else. This woman said the quote above, being the only one that does not want Hester dead. What the woman said is extremely true and extremely smart. She said that Hester should do whatever she wants, she can cover it, hide it, or keep it from sight, but it does not matter. She says that the mark will always be with her, not physically, but mentally and psychologically. Hester will always know that she has sinned, and her child, which is the result of that very sin, will be a daily reminder. The scarlet letter on Hester's chest will not be the thing that reminds her of her sin, but her very child will.

Research Blog

Boston in the sixteen hundreds was not somewhere a young woman would want to be. Known for the infamous Salem Witch Trials, Boston in the sixteen hundreds was filled with puritans, who constantly hung innocent women on accusations of them being witches. The accusations were without proof of course, and many women were either sent to the scaffolds, stocks, prison, or the gallows, although many of them were sentenced to death by hanging and/or burning. The scaffolds, gallows and stocks were very prominent in Boston during the sixteen hundreds, being the "go-to" torture methods for criminals and sinners. The stocks were mostly for public humiliation, where as the gallows and the scaffolds are mostly for injuring and killing people. Adulterers, thieves, murderers and criminals in general are examples of who would be put through these cruel and awful torture methods. At the least, people would hope for public humiliation or prison instead of death. Present day Boston has many tourist attractions based on the city's dark history of death and torture. Events such as " Galloween" and roads being closed to celebrate the streets being haunted by the souls of the victims of the many unjustified hangings. It is amazing to see how dark events in a towns history, are later shown in ways of entertainment.

Illinois Tornado Wreaks Havoc Near Peoria

"Illinois Tornado Wreaks Havoc Near Peoria"
From: The Huffington Post
By: James B. Kelleher

On November seventeen, a fast moving storm system triggered a series of freak tornadoes near Illinois and Indiana. These tornadoes killed at least two people and injured about forty, if not more. The tornadoes flattened a large part of Washington city. The storm interrupted sports games, with many viewers rushing to find shelter. Families far from their homes had to find refuge from the destructive storms in unfamiliar places. Homes were demolished, schools lifted from place, cars were launched and people were injured. The results of the tornadoes are complete wreckage, piles of wood, metal, stone and what seem to be family belongings are scattered along the roads. At least seventy homes were destroyed, leaving families without a place to sleep. Many reported seeing trees being uprooted and launched into surroundings. According to Bill Bunting, a forecast chief, "This storm system has some similarities to the fast-moving "derecho" storm that knocked out power to more than 4.2 million people and killed 22 in the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions in June 2012". Others are also saying that the tornadoes are not fully matured and if the storms return, the results will be more devastating than what has occurred now. All of our hopes and prayers are with the victims and families of the people in Illinois.

SOAPST

Ralph Waldo Emerson's Education addresses matters in the 1820's to 1830s, that are still coming up today. The Speaker of the piece is Ralph Waldo Emerson, an influential writer and thinker during the 1800s. The Occasion is the 1820's to 1830's. The Audience is everyone, especially future educators and students. The Purpose of the piece is to call out the problems, and inform people of them, some of the main problems being the education system. The Subject of the piece, is the education system, how students are being taught, educational reform, and how to effectively teach students. Emerson says that teachers must not only teach writing and math, but also include, wit, thought, creativity, and imagination. The Tone of the piece is very confident, friendly, informative, and educative. The use of diction in the piece allows for students now to be able to read and understand the piece without struggle, which is impressive for an essay written in the 1800s. Emerson is able to present his ideas, and worries formally and simply, speaking about the "genius" one can find in himself. He brings in the fact that enthusiasm to learn is declining, and will continue to decline due to how the educational system works and is composed. Even now, the education system seems to not teach a true education. This is one of the many reasons that the education system must change, not for a few, but for everyone.

China Releasing Badly Forged Photos

"Chinese officials produce a lot of badly forged photos, but this might be the worst"
From: The Washington Post
By: Max Fisher

Throughout the years, governments of countries have lied and deceived their citizens, along with other countries. Examples are false promises, untrue claims, and corrupt actions. As far as whether a country has released a forget photo, the photos have most probably had a good amount of work put into them. This is not the case for China. China is a country that has many problems, going from pollution, to population problems. Their government officials have reached such a desperate situation, that they must release forged photos, which are almost near quality to work done by a kindergartner. Photos show government officials walking through roads and talking with villagers, or more likely try to show these images. The result of the photoshops shows people floating over roads, speaking to people who seem to be six inches tall, or seem to be walking in an area that does not match the way they look. People have no shadows in sunny areas, are blurry in clear and focused backgrounds, or are seem to have all the light from the sun on them, and none on the environment. For a country to go to lengths of forgery and photoshop, one would believe a above average job would be done, not the half finished products that half finished products that have constantly been published. Why must a country lie to its citizens and neighbors? If a power such as China is going to attempt to forge pictures, the pictures must look at least half believable.

Education

Are schools now actually contributing to a true education? What is a true education? Many will tell you that it is what students learn now, such as science, math, or history. These are subjects that, nonetheless are important, but do not matter depending on what I choose to do with my life after school. All students are taught the same basic things, but it is very likely that these students will be doing something that does not involve half of what they learned at school. As a high school student, I may be taking AP classes, doing extracurricular activities, and participating in sports, but I have yet to understand the process of taking out a loan, or even balancing a check book. Soon, I am going to graduate, and be set out to find my own path in the world. Although I have been educated in many subjects, I still do not feel as I am ready to start an adult life. My most feared and anticipated day, is the day I graduate. I want to finally be free, and be able to make my own decisions, follow my own path, yet I am also extremely terrified of the quick and sudden transition of a high school student, to grown man who must make his own decisions. I believe that a school should prepare me for that day, to be able to take away that fear, and replace it with confidence, and a ready attitude. I do not believe that schools have been able to accomplish this yet. Every year, it is becoming a more important subject, but not important enough. The amount of responsibility that falls on ones shoulders after graduation, can make someone who is not prepared for it, crumble to their knees. I do not want to experience this, and hope that future generations will not either. A true education is not the grades in a person's report card, it is how ready they will be for their future, and whether or not they can succeed in what they wish to do.

Iraq Car Bomb Kills Dozens

"Iraq Car Bomb Kills Dozens"
By Sian Salaheddin
From The Huffington Post

Recently on Saturday, a series of car bombings went off in Iraq, Baghdad that resulted in many casualties. At least sixty two people are dead from the string of explosions that occurred. A market explosion and suicide bomb in a northern also contributed to the casualties. Since April, over five thousand people have died due to the massive amounts of  bombings in Iraq. The deadliest blasts are occurring in the Narwhan district, where its most recent bombing took fifteen lives and injured eight civilians. Such bombing such as this are a common favored tactic by the Al-Qaeda. They are no stranger to car or suicide bombings, especially in the Baghdad regions. This month alone over five hundred people have been killed to bombings alone. Iraq has hit a all time high for crime and bombings, since two thousand eight. several different areas are constantly under attack, and people are constantly dyeing. Families are being torn apart, along with homes and public buildings. Times like these are when a nation must realize that it is vulnerable, and that its inhabitants are killing each other. Many people are relaying this events back to when George W. Bush was president, blaming his involvement in Iraq for all the trouble that is occurring there now. Whether or not we will help the country now, is up to President Obama's hands now.

Blonde Haired, Blue Eyed Four Year Old Found In Gypsy Camp.

Authorities Trying To Identify 4-Year-Old Girl Found In Gypsy Camp
Source: Huffington Post
By: NICHOLAS PAPHITIS

In a recent raid taken out by the Greek Police on a gypsy camp in Athens Greece, the police searched for weapons and drugs. Apart from what they expected, such as the drugs and weapons, a police officer noticed a girl that did not belong in the environment. She was four years old, had blue eyes and blonde hair, and white skin. She went by the name Maria, and looked nothing like the alleged "parents". A DNA test was done, and the results came back showing that she is not their daughter. The child was found in a camp near Farsala Greece, and lived with the gypsies in the camp. Her "parents", which were a thirty nine year old man, and a forty year old woman, were arrested and charged with abducting a minor. The parents lawyer had said they had taken her out of charity, but this is possibly not true considering that the parents had given more than one story about how they met the child, examples being that she had a foreign father, was abandoned, or left on the street in a blanket. Her features are that of a eastern European. If this one of the places where abandoned children end up, then is it possible that many of our missing and or abducted children can end up across the globe?

New "Flesh Eating Drug" May Be in Chicago

Krokodil Cases Being Investigated: DEA 'Very Concerned' Over Reports Of Flesh-Eating Drug
By:  Andres Jauregui
Huffington Post

New reports have come in from Chicago about a "Flesh Eating" known as "Krokodil". The drug was prominent in Russia, which can be seen in the name. It is new in the United States, and not everyone is equipped or know how to treat it. Symptoms include extensive tissue damage, causing rotting flesh, green scaly sores developing, which is what gives the drug its name, and a smell similar to that of rotting flesh. Doctors in Arizona saw two cases of what seem to be Krokodil abuse, causing emergency and worry among the country. Victims and abusers of the extremely dangerous drugs have to get amputations, resulting in loss of entire limbs. Three patients were treated in Chicago, making others worry that more are on the way. The drug gives a high similar to that of heroin, but much cheaper, and much more devastating. One of the reasons why the drug is becoming so big is due to how cheap it is, and what is needed to make it, some ingredients being lighter fluid, and gasoline. Druggs are becoming a major problem throughout the world, and new, more potent, more dangerous drugs are being introduced. With things like flesh eating drugs being willingly used, many can wonder when people will draw the line of what is to dangerous to use.

Presentations Review

Last week, everybody in the class was told to bring in a presentation. The presentations were based around analyzing a speech from a list of a hundred great speeches. One speech that stood out the most and had a good group presenting it was Margaret Sanger's "The Children's Era" speech, which was presented by Nicole and Ellen. The speech was about legalizing birth control, giving it a very pro birth control feel and tone. The SOAPST was clearly presented in the presentation along with all of the other aspects of the speech. The speech had a classical oration type of structure, but also included a toulmin model structure, due to how the author (Margaret Sanger) was able to write this peace. The speech used literary devices such as anaphoras and metaphors, two of the many others used. Aside from the speech itself, Ellen and Nicole's presentation was well constructed. The slides were informative, long, and were in great detail. As far as the vocal presentation, I suggest that for next time, they use note cards, seeing how they would stumble and lose their spots. This was not shown much, but happened on few occasions, but it would not be a bad idea to improve on it.

Egypt Clashes Leave At Least 44 Dead

Egypt Clashes Leave At Least 44 Dead
By: Hamza Hendawi
The Huffington Post

On Sunday of last week, clashes erupted in Egypt between supporters of the recently ousted president, and security forces, leaving forty four people dead. Supporters of the military and backers of the Islam Mohammad Morso, being rivals, all poured into the streets of Egypt, to celebrate the holiday a major marked holiday. The capital Cairo saw many scenes of mayhem and destruction, with streets containing fights that went on for hours, and carried into neighborhoods. Police forces answered with heavy suppression, involving teargas, batons, and gunshots. This in turn caused citizens to throw firebombs at the security forces, only making their situation worse, as people fell dead. Most dead bodies had gunshot wounds on the chest and or head. The health ministry reported over forty people dead, along with several hundred wounded. In Cairo's Central Tahrir Square however, there were carnivals where supporters of the military gathered and enjoyed the fortieth anniversary of the 1973 mid east war with Israel, which is one of the reasons why rival mobs appeared on the streets, leading to fighting, clashes, deaths, and many wounded people. Things like this are happening more and more everyday, and the results only turn up with more deaths and wounded. Many are wondering when the fighting will stop, and seeing the way everything is going now, unless the citizens of Egypt are able to stop the fighting themselves, then the fighting will continue until it meets a devastating end.

Declaration of Independence

"He has plundered our seas, ravaged our Coasts, burnt our towns, and destroyed the lives of our people"

In the Declaration of Independence, there are many points that explain why the Americans wanted to separate from the English. One is that destroyed their homes, killed their people and plundered their seas, which is one of the main factors that they wished for independence. When one country attacks another country, there are usually retaliations. In this case, it was England attacking it's own colonists. This takes these acts to  different level of betrayal, which is what the Americans felt, leading to them eventually their desire for independence. This can be related to the Pearl Harbor attacks, which is what led to the Americans becoming involved in World War Two. The Japanese basically burnt their towns, ravaged their coasts, and destroyed many people's lives.

"For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretend offenses."

Another grievance and reason why the colonists felt as though they deserved freedom from England, was because they were sent out of their homes to England, where they were tried for offenses they did not commit. Many times, these trials would not allow for a trial by Jury, making many American Colonists guilty for acts they did not commit, but are later punished for. The resulting punishment was usually death, since no jury was involved, making the Judge the deciding factor. Today, we try to make sure that every person put on trial had been involved in what they are being tried for. Corruption within the courts is still present, but the good outnumber the bad, resulting in trials that come with a reasonable outcome. Some trials still result in a unreasonable, and unexpected outcome, but they are not as present as before.

"Mall Massacre: 39 Dead"

"Mall Massacre: 39 Dead"
The Huffington Post
By: Jason Straziuso and Tom Odula

When people think of Kenya, what comes to mind is a poor, warring, and oppressed country. the people their have as much right to live their daily lives as much as everyone else in the world. Whenever the U.S. is hit by a terrorist attack, we spend long periods of time mourning, which is not a bad thing, but we should do the same for other countries. Recently, Kenya's Nairobi Mall, which is one of the biggest malls in Kenya, was attacked by Al Qaida gunmen opened fire and threw grenades in crowds of shoppers, resulting in chaos, destruction, and many lives lost. thirty nine people are confirmed dead, and more than 150 wounded. Casualties included Canadian and French citizens, and many American tourists were wounded. The shooting began when the Al Qaida gunmen cornered victims, asking whether or not they were Muslim. Those who said yes were let go, those who said no were killed. The forces that committed this heinous act have a Twitter, in which they send out threats to countries and their governments, some of which were directed toward the Kenyan government. Hopefully, different countries will be able to send aid to Kenya, in order to offer help, and allow them to begin reconstruction, and searches for the men who killed and wounded so many innocent people.

Floods in Colorado 2013

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/09/15/colorado-floods-2013_n_3929735.html
Huffington Post
By: Hannah Dreier and Jeri Clausing

Recently, Colorado was struck with devastating and horrific flooding across towns, even isolating some towns from other towns, and even picking up homes from their foundation. The flooding was so powerful, that it even destroyed roads leading to other towns and streets, basically separating them from the outside. People have said that it is not fair, that "all these beautiful places, it's just brown mud". We can imagine how hard the citizens of Colorado and their families are affected, some not being able to offer help because the flooding is not allowing them to get to the other towns. Four people are confirmed dead, and two missing but presumed dead after having their entire homes swept away. With more rains coming, the state is wondering if every other state will just ignore them and move on. So many people have been affected by this tragedy, including the lives of family members, friends, and neighbors, some even having their lives cut short. In order to help them overcome this disaster, they will need all the help they can get. If there is anyone with family in Colorado, the prayers of everyone in America go out to them, hoping that nothing more will come other than help and assistance.

Syrian Chemical Attack Possibly Carried Out Without Assad Permission

By: Huffington Post
From: Huffington Post

Recent reports are saying, that the horrifying chemical attacks in Syria, which killed hundreds of innocent men, women, and children, was not done by President Assad of Syria. This is big news, meaning that the Syrian government may not be all to blame for the attack. Not only does this affect the people of Syria, and make them question their government even more, but it now also affects President Obama's decision to attack Syria. Not only is congress already at a larger no to yes ratio for going into Syria, but now it has reason to not do it. The biggest reason to attack Syria was due to the government apparently making the decision to attack its own civilians with chemical weapons, a decision which was thought to have been carried out by President Assad. If the leader of the Syrian government had not given the approval to carry out such an atrocious act, then this means that the government itself is corrupt, and has stopped listening to it's superiors. This can mean a major problem, because if the chemical attacks did not need the presidents approval, then there will probably two sides to the government, with the more immoral side being the one starting all this terror and chaos.

Getaway Review

Getaway: A Never-Ending Car Wreck
By: Christopher Orr
From: The Antlantic
Link: http://www.theatlantic.com/entertainment/archive/2013/08/-em-getaway-em-a-never-ending-car-wreck/279188/

Recently the movie Getaway featuring Ethan Hawke and Selena Gomez was released. Critics who watched the movie all came back with the same decision: Do not see it. Christopher Orr uses sarcasm, humor, and heavy criticism towards the bland, unbelievable acting, and bad movie structure all together. Calling the movie a "never ending car wreck" allows for him to set up the readers expectations of the movie, with a ironic twist, due to the movie being based around a car chase. Orr makes a claim of value, stating that the effort made by the film result in "a kid trying desperately to act like a grown up, but with no real idea what that might entail." Orr is trying to say that the movie is attempting to have a mature attitude, where as in reality, it is a mediocre cliche that falls short of its goals. He even takes it as far as saying that the Shelby Mustang Super Snake, the car that the protagonist drives, offers the most "nuanced and psychologically complex performance." To have an actors performance be so awful that critics believe is as unemotional and boring as an inanimate objects, is beyond an insult. What it all comes down to is that Orr was able to use humor and sarcasm to make his claim valid, which is one thing that can separate a good piece of literature from the rest.

If God Had a Favorite Flavor, It Would Be Moose Tracks

The time has come to discuss one of the most important topics ever. Ice cream. When it comes to ice cream, the Holy Grail of all flavors is Moose Tracks. A flavor that has peanut butter cups, chocolate fudge, all while being surrounded by chocolate ice cream, is like having Jesus himself come down from the heavens to give you a hug. It is that good. Moose Tracks ice cream affects your taste, smell, hearing, touch(asyndeton). The flavors you experience all at once just fill one with joy and happiness(pathos). Ice cream has been a favorite for many, everyone having their own favorite flavor and why. Moose Tracks is my favorite flavor because it is not only ice cream. Moose Tracks includes chocolate, and peanut butter, and chunks of chocolate, and rivers of fudge (polysyndeton). With all that variety, and different combinations of some of the best treats one can be given, it is no brainer why so many people love Moose Tracks. If that is not enough, their is flavor called "Extreme Chocolate Moose Tracks", which for the relatively hardcore chocolate lovers. It consists of everything previously mentioned, but doubled, and filled with cups of chocolate fudge and peanut butter. One thing is certain: ice cream is one of the things people can turn to when having a bad day, or to enjoy as a snack. It truly shows the healing power of food.

Obama Wishes to Take Action in Syria

Syria Minister: US Strike On Syria 'Would Benefit Al Qaeda'

From and By: BBC

According to the deputy foreign minister, Faisal Mekdad, if the US were to attack Syria, it would cause terrorism to flourish all around Syria. Mekdad also goes on to say that armed groups backed by America used chemical weapons, not Syria. Since Mekdad is part of Syria's government, we do not know whether or not these statements are true, or if they are just trying to cover up what the Syrian regime did. The article also mentions Obama, and him wanting to take action in Syria. He will bring this up the next time Congress meets. This is considered one of President Obama's biggest gambles. He states that if Congress does not back him, it would be disastrous, and make him look like a fool for calling the vote in the first place. Going back to Mekdad, he states that an attack would only raise hatred for Americans, and that serious consequences are bound to happen. He believes that none of what he says matters, because Obama will still go through with the attack. This issue is only becoming a more serious one each and every passing day. Until action is taken to stop more of these horrible acts from happening, we will keep seeing more and more images of innocent men, women and children, experiencing horrors no person should see.

Blood, Toil, Tears, and Sweat

Blood, Toil, Tears, and Sweat is Winston Churchill's first speech to the House of Commons, as his new position as Prime Minister of Britain. He said the speech over the radio, in May 1940. The use of SOAPST in this speech helps create the overall tone. The subject of this piece is the change of government, and also war. The occasion is England May 1940. The audience is Parliament, and also the English citizens, because the speech was also heard through the radio. The purpose was to inform and to motivate all who listened. The speaker was the newly appointed Prime Minister of Britain, Winston Churchill. The overall tone felt serious, confident, progressive, and scary in a sense. The fact that normal people living out their everyday lives were able to hear this speech, Churchill had to make sure the speech did not come off as a hopeless plea, but instead, a very confident and to the point speech. He motivates everyone by assuring "victory, victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory..." making it seem like a guarantee. Although the piece is confident, it is also says that there will be sacrifices from everyone, and that people will be lost, but that it is needed for Britain's survival. Speeches like this are what can make a difference in not only a few people's moral, but a whole countries.

Chemical Attacks in Syria

"Syrian 'Poison Gas' Attack By Government Forces Claimed By Opposition"
By Ryan Lucas
Source: The Huffington Post

Images from Syria have surfaced of lifeless children wrapped in what seem to be white body bags. The article says that the accused is said to be the Syrian government, who denies these claims by saying they are "absolutely baseless". The attack is said to have claimed from 136, to 1300 lives, with none of the bodies showing any signs of bruises, gunshot wounds, or blood. Almost all bodies seem to have died by a form of suffocation, and survivors are seen being taken away twitching, and with oxygen masks. The attack was on Wednesday, and other than the sound of guns, artillery and planes flying over head, clouds of gray smoke were seen over several towns. The White House calls chemical warfare "a red line" and that investigations occur for these allegations immediately. The fact that the Syrian government will go to such devastating lengths such as chemical warfare, this can pose a problem to many countries, the United States being one of them. These attacks killed women, children, and elderly, showing a complete lack of morality, and if these attacks can occur to their own citizens, nothing is stopping them from enacting this crime against other countries. If these accusations are investigated and found true, then this should be a warning to the U.S. and all other major countries. Nothing is considered immoral or too far anymore, and these events prove it. If this is to happen on a worldwide scale, then we should be prepared for the worst.

Of Mice and Men - My Favorite Book

Of Mice and Men is my favorite book that I have read to date. The story is about two friends, Lennie and George, attempting to make their dream of not having to listen to anyone, and "live off the fatta the land". The story of these two men begins during the Great Depression. Money is hard to come by, the work is hard, and everybody is affected. The story continues to talk about Lennie and George's work, and how they interact with the other workers. Lennie has a mild mental disability, making him act like a toddler, while he is depicted as a tall man with stature. This causes George to act as his caretaker. The bond between these two goes as far as two brothers, who have an unbreakable bond. The story of these two makes one feel extremely close with the characters. When the story starts taking turns in the tone, and the story of the two becomes grim and desperate, the book is near impossible to put down. The books comes ends with an ending that left me shocked and saddened. The book is not only telling a story of two friends, but also shows the difficult work and low pay of the time the novel is set. Some of Of Mice and Men's themes are, the extreme loneliness and need for a companion, the difficulty to reach your dreams, and human nature. I would recommend this book to all my peers and family members, because it shows the importance of finding friendship and trust in other people.

Deceptive Advertising

The picture above is a 1930s advertisement for "Luckies", a cigarette brand. The advertisement states that 20,679 doctors say that "Luckies"cigarettes, are less irritating than other cigarette brands. Around this time period, people were not aware of the dangers involved with smoking cigarettes, resulting in countless advertisements about them. This advertisement can be considered deceptive, because of it referring to doctors. Since the advertisement involves doctors saying something positive about the brand, consumers will be more likely to trust this advertisement, due to doctors being considered trustworthy and dependable. The ethos of this advertisement is how it refers to doctors. Since people trust doctors with their health and sometimes life, they can also trust them with their cigarette brand. The pathos is the way the advertisement is depicted. The ad shows a doctor holding a pack of "Luckies" cigarettes with a smiling face. This shows happiness and a kind environment, making the reader feel more comfortable and more persuaded by the ad. The logos is the  ad saying that "Luckies" cigarettes are less irritating than other brands. Logically a smoker would want to switch to a brand that would cause him less discomfort. The subject of the ad is "Luckies" cigarettes and how it is favorable over other brands. The audience is the large amount of smokers in the United States at the time the ad was published. The purpose is to get more people to buy and smoke "Luckies" cigarettes. The tone is friendly educated, and also confident. The occasion is not apparent, but all other points are strongly shown. The ad is effective, but was not the only one of its kind. Many other cigarette companies had advertisements that refer to doctors saying one brand is better than the other, resulting in competition and more sales. After the dangers of smoking were found, advertisements like these would be very rare to find.
